FAQ

Clear answers for farmers, students, institutions, agribusinesses and investors.

The platform

What is Aladdin Agri AI?
A governed, multilingual agricultural workspace: practical guidance in your own language, specialist assistant roles, data-backed insight where data exists, and human review before any high-risk step. Not an open chatbot, and not a substitute for a qualified local expert.
Who are Habiba, Anas and Namaa?
Guided assistant roles, not separate products. Habiba starts you off and routes your question; Anas handles agronomy - crops, pests, irrigation, fertilization; Namaa works with data, comparisons and feasibility, and says so when a number is not available rather than inventing one.
Which languages does it support?
Built for multilingual access, with more languages added over time. In the field we work bilingually in English and Bahasa Indonesia, adding local languages where a project needs them.
How much does it cost - is it really affordable?
Priced for global inclusion: low annual pricing for farmers, modest for companies and research centers, and free access for agricultural students. The low price is a deliberate, sponsor-backed access model, not a thin product.
Why is it free for agricultural students?
Because the next generation of agronomists should learn on governed, practical AI tools. Academic-access sponsors cover the cost, so students in agricultural colleges, schools and institutes pay nothing.
Is the platform fully operational today?
What you see now is a sponsor preview of the intended experience - the workspace, assistant roles and workflows. Runtime proof, integrations and field pilots are validated separately; we do not present the preview as production proof.

Investment security and risk

What formal protections do you offer foreign investors?
Three, working together: transparent due diligence (investment-grade research, feasibility and ESG risk mapping on verifiable data); risk-smart structuring (milestone-based disbursements, blended finance, clear exits); and local-first implementation backed by 27+ years of international experience, including Indonesia - usually the single biggest risk reducer.
Are these protections unconditional?
No - no guarantee replaces proper due diligence. Protections live inside the contract: milestone evidence, independent verifiers, and standard exclusions such as force majeure and deliberate misrepresentation. Escrow, verifiers and security instruments shift execution risk materially away from the investor.
How do you keep operations compliant and corruption-free?
In the contract: anti-corruption safeguards, conflict-of-interest disclosures and community-benefit clauses. In operations: transparent financial reporting, open community grievance channels, and third-party verification on request. Sharia-sensitivity reviews are available for faith-aligned structures.
What about climate, biological and price shocks?
We treat it as a package - transfer, prevent, buffer. Transfer: crop and weather-indexed insurance with payouts tied to independent stations or yield audits. Prevent: diversified crops and buyers, plus resilient agronomy (climate-smart varieties, soil and water work, IPM). Buffer: a funded contingency reserve, usually 5-10% of project cost, plus optional buyer floor pricing. All insurance and payout terms go into the investment pack.

What we deliver

What does Aladdin do, and why work with you in the region?
We connect global capital with agri-food opportunities through investment-grade diligence, local execution and milestone-driven delivery that ties returns to measurable social and environmental outcomes. Field experience across several countries, with Indonesia an active base.
Can you act as a turnkey operator, end to end?
Yes - a single point of accountability from pilot through build, commissioning and handover, including transfer of standard operating procedures and optional post-handover support tied to clear acceptance criteria.
Which services matter most for investors?
Investment-grade research and due diligence, turnkey project management, deal structuring and exit planning, technical agronomy, quality-management and certification readiness, and capacity building - delivered as bankable packs (financial model, term sheet, ESG checklist).
What will I receive in an investment-readiness package?
An investment memo and financial model, an ESG and compliance checklist, an operational schedule and budget, standard operating procedures, a training roadmap, a KPI dashboard, and an exit or scale-up plan.

Pricing and commercial terms

What engagement models do you offer?
Discovery and fixed-price pilots, time-and-materials, milestone-based delivery, result-linked or blended models, and annual retainers - each with a clear statement of work, payment schedule, change control and exit criteria.
How do you structure payments to protect investor capital?
Phased, milestone-based disbursements with escrow, blended finance and performance-linked fees. Tranches at mobilization, mid-project and acceptance, each tied to a verifiable milestone. A common split is 30/40/30, or whatever donor rules require.
How is pricing built, and what drives the cost?
Granular: person-days, travel, local subcontracting and overhead. It can be milestone-based, fixed, time-and-materials with a not-to-exceed cap, or blended with escrow. Main drivers: the capital-vs-operating balance, project scale, permitting complexity, on-site frequency and technical scope.

How to start

How does engagement begin, and what happens in the first 30 days?
Intro and fit call, then a rapid diagnostic over one to two weeks, a proposal and statement of work, then signing and kickoff. The first 30 days cover a rapid desk review, a co-design workshop, baseline measurement, and a kickoff brief with the statement of work, timeline, risk register and communication plan.
How do I request a proposal or your Due Diligence and Ethics Pack?
Send the basics - sector, location, ticket size and timeline. We reply with a remote engagement note (scope, deliverables, timeline, price) plus an NDA for secure data exchange. Just ask us to send the Ethics and Due Diligence Pack.

Operations, quality and data

How do you de-risk supply chain and quality, including processing and cold chain?
Quality checklists, HACCP and ISO 22000 food-safety readiness, post-harvest loss audits, factory acceptance testing for equipment, and commissioning plans for processing lines. Performance-linked payments keep suppliers aligned with the quality targets.
What are typical timelines from letter of intent to first disbursement?
It depends on scope: a remote rapid validation runs 48 to 72 hours up to a week; small pilots 8 to 16 weeks; nursery or processing lines 4 to 9 months; an integrated farm-and-processing build 9 to 18 months. We publish time-to-mobilize figures.
Can I get the raw data from a study?
We share anonymized datasets when consent and contracts allow. When they do not, we provide aggregated tables and synthetic datasets so the results can be replicated.
How do you make sure findings are locally accurate?
We use local enumerators, run participatory validation, and hold community feedback sessions before we finalize recommendations.
Are your evaluations independent if you also advise on implementation?
For high-stakes evaluations we recommend and can arrange an external evaluator. We state roles plainly and keep advisory work separate from verification when it matters.

Innovation and pilots

Are your creative pilots expensive?
No - we favor low-cost, high-learning pilots that de-risk a larger rollout, and they are budgeted transparently in the proposal.
How do you keep experimentation ethical?
Every pilot includes informed consent, clear benefit-sharing and an exit plan. Higher-risk trials add external ethical review.
Can you help turn a successful prototype into a business?
Yes - we build market-entry plans and connect pilots to buyers, fabricators and investors where it fits.
